NEYSA Soccer is honored to announce a new league under the NEYSA Soccer umbrella!
The Challenger Soccer League is for disabled and neurodiverse school age children.
This is a soccer program designed to focus on participation and fun, rather than competition. Players will work on skill-building which provides an opportunity to develop stronger emotional, social, and team-building skills.
- This is a parent involved program, whether that means assisting your player on the field or from the sidelines.
- Practices will be on Tuesdays from 6 PM until 7 PM. Sundays will be "game days" 12 PM.
- The season is set to run for 6 weeks, starting Sept. 5th (the day after Labor Day).
- Practices and games will be at the Conewago Creek Recreation Area, 1098 Wago Rd, Mount Wolf, PA 17347.
Justine Hallgren has graciously stepped up to run this new league. Not only does she have experience with other sport Challenger leagues and working with neurodiverse child, she is well-versed in coordinating and running group exercise programs (you may recognize her from Golds or Heritage gyms).
We have no doubt that she is the person for the job, but anyone interested in assisting is greatly appreciated!
